An Anthology Of Art

Well, the cat’s officially out of the bag!

We are thrilled to announce (a little late, but better than never, hey?) that our first collection, YOU is now live over on our shiny new shop.

We have nine, beautiful art prints on offer and are so proud to *finally* say that they’re live!

This collection represents all that we love about the colourful and collaborative industry that we get to work in.
Featuring pieces from Seeta Roy, Etch & Trove, Saskia Robertson and Michiah Findlay this collection is worth every penny and has been lovingly designed to brighten your walls for many years to come.

The inspiration behind YOU

Everyone has a ‘YOU‘.

It’s a person who sends them words of encouragement or tags them in hilarious Facebook memes. YOU is a person that makes us smile and think about fondly. They kick ass and make a mean cup of tea. They listen to you cry and comment on your Instagram pics and are just a genuinely great person.

Then there is the other type of YOU. The one who makes you scowl when they look hot in a picture, or when they have a new person on their arm at the movies. The YOU that your friends over analyse and say you’re better off without. The YOU who lingers in your dreams when they’re not invited.

And then there’s YOU. The glorious soul reading this. The one who buys art for their own walls and has found happiness within their own being.

You may not have everything figured out yet, but you’re doing a damn good job. And you deserve a treat every once in a while (just saying!).

We created this collection, this Anthology of Art, to celebrate all of the YOU‘s in our lives, and the experiences and lessons we’ve lived through because of them.

Buy this art for yourself. For your friends. For your family. For your nice colleague who needs cheering up.

Everyone deserves a little magic on their walls, and the way to interpret each wonderful piece is entirely up to YOU.

About the prints

We spent a hot minute doing our darn research. It turns out that, although there are printers aplenty in Cairns, none of them offer fine art printing – which is what our little hearts were set on getting.

Instead, we found a brilliant, speedy printer in Brisbane that handles all of our orders online and have made the entire ordering/proofing/artwork setup process super smooth and dare we say, enjoyable.

After much deliberations over paper stocks (that’s the graphic designer in Viv coming out) we landed on a delicious combination of the below:

A4 Fine Art Print, Giclee printed using archival inks. Paper stock is 310GSM and cotton-based with a smooth, matte finish.

If you’re a bit of a printing nerd, then you’ll know that our prints are the real deal. None of that shitty Officeworks colour printing. We wanted to create a product that will not only be of impeccable quality, but will last you literally a lifetime, and forever look damn good hanging on your walls.

A final word

Finally, we’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who shared tips, calmed our nerves and of course, the brilliant artists we collaborated with.

This is just the first of many collections, and we can’t wait to see how our store evolves and grows.

Until the next brew,

Team Rust
